Chantal Rabay / collaborator

Originally a physical therapist who graduated from USJ & teaching at several universities, Chantal’s dream was beyond that point; she pursued her Master's degree in art criticism & is working on her Ph.D. in dance representation at USJ.

She’s also a choreographer, contemporary dance instructor (graduated from France with a state dance teaching diploma), Laban dance notator( graduated from the dance notation bureau in NY), certified Aerial dance teacher, and certified Yoga /Aerial yoga instructor. 

Chantal is a founding partner at Swandance, a dance school established in 2003 in her hometown Zahle, launched with a few local talents to spread the cultural aspects of dance in the local society.

Chantal was awarded from APEAL (association for promotion and exhibition of arts in Lebanon) in 2013 & 2020 and from the global women entrepreneurship in 2012 & 2016.

She participates in several dance/theatre festivals such as Les Hivernales d'Avignon, Le Festival de Theâtre Jeune de Catane, de Barcelone, de Gant, Winter Festival of Julliard School, and The Pulse on tour.

SwanDancers /

Jana Saghbini, Elio Daoud, Joy-mary Badawy, Bechara Saliba, and Elise Mansour are dancers from the SwanDance company that was established in Zahle and attached to SwanDance school.

They have been performing in several musicals, festivals, and national competitions. They won the Lebanese dance championship in contemporary dance youth team for the 2019- 2020 and 2021 seasons.
